How to use a Keurig Machine?

Before knowing how to use the keurig coffee maker you need to know what are essentials needed to use the keurig machine:

2. K cups
3. Water
4. Mug or Coffee Cup

The Process of brewing coffee in Keurig machine :

Step 1 –

a) Filling up the water container/reservoir

Remove the lid off the water reservoir, which you can see at the left side or back of the machine. Fill up the reservoir as per the model of the machine, either pull out reservoir from left side of machine or pour water into the back reservoir using a cup or mug.
Remember, not to fill water above the line stating MAX FILL.
Try to use filtered or spring water in order to be safe from mineral build-up left by hard water from the tap.

b) Place a cup under the Spout

Keep your cup or mug on the drip tray plate of your machine which is under the spout from where your beverage will be poured out.
(If you want a larger size of mug to be used, remove the drip tray and then place the mug under it.)

Step 2 –

Brewing your Beverage
A) Insert K-cup

Place a single K-cup inside the machine by lifting the handle which is on the centre of your machine. Keep the foil top facing up.
Remember, you can place the K cup inside the machine without having to open the seal. Just put it as it is. The machine automatically creates holes in the seal and bottom of the K cup as when you close the lid that helps water to flow through.

B) Get Set Go

Either select “Brew button or choose a mug size to start brewing.
You can choose brew sizes in variants like Small Cup Size –Approx 5.25 oz, Small Mug Size- Approx 7.25 oz, Large Mug Size – 9.25 oz possible to select this if you have option.
Kindly do not move cup or mug or distract the handle of the machine while brewing.
It will take 1-2 minutes for entire brewing process.

c) Remove the Mug

Take out the cup or mug from the drip plate once you see the liquid has stopped pouring out from the machine.
Refer the user manual for your machine to select accurate size of cup or mug for proper liquid fill.

Step 3 –

Maintenance post brewing

A) Take out the used K cup

Remove the K cup and dispose it in a trash can after use. (Lift the top handle to remove k cup).
Be careful while taking out the K cup as it must be very hot after use.

B) Timely clean and maintain the machine parts

It’s necessary to clean your keurig often whenever you notice stains, mineral build-ups or dripped plate try. While cleaning external parts use soft cloth and soap. Clean the drip tray carefully taking it out and rinsing with water and soap. The parts under the top handle can be placed in the top rack of dishwasher but at low temperature.
Always clean parts individually.
